The Ongar Bell is a well-equipped and versatile property offering visitors a variety of options for their stay. We invite guests to choose from one of three rental options, depending on whether their visit is for business or pleasure.
Our corporate lets are perfect for:

For corporate bookings, we require that the property is rented as a whole (rooms are not available individually), making The Ongar Bell a great option for small teams or groups of colleagues. Guests will have the use of their own bedrooms for privacy and comfort, while still being able to socialise in the lounge bar or living room after a hard day at work. Longer term lets are available on request at favourable rates, though rooms must be vacated at weekends.

Our weekend hire is ideal for those looking to get together with family or friends to share in a memorable experience. With space for up to 12 people, guests can simply collect the keys and enjoy a three-night stay with the benefit of their own private lounge bar or, for a completely fuss-free visit, upgrade their stay to include fully catered meals, courtesy of our in-house West End-trained chef.
Groups of friends will enjoy playing landlord/landlady in their own pub, perhaps followed by a trip to the infamous Sugar Hut nightclub featured on ITV’s The Only Way Is Essex, or a relaxing dip under the stars in The Ongar Bell’s outdoor hot tub. Families can also enjoy all the benefits of a “night out” by hosting the ultimate lock-in, safe in the knowledge that bed is only a few steps away, and that younger guests will be kept entertained by the 63″ plasma TV with Sky HD connectivity, snooker, darts, Xbox and Wii games consoles.

Private functions at The Ongar Bell are something special. Whether you are celebrating a birthday, anniversary, wedding or product launch, we guarantee that your guests will be talking about your event for years to come. With capacity for up to 100 guests, parties are hosted between our beautifully landscaped garden and a stunning white marquee, ensuring that your event can go ahead come rain or shine. Private function hire is offered as a complete package, including a bespoke food and drink menu devised by our in-house West-End-trained chef. We work carefully with our hosts to plan all aspects of each event, taking the stress out of organising, and leaving you free to enjoy the party with your guests.

GENERAL TERMS OF HIRE
All rental options require a 10% reservation fee to secure your booking with the final balance due 8 weeks prior to your stay.
The hot tub may be requested up to a week in advance of your stay for an additional fee of £500.
A £250 damage deposit is also due the week prior to your stay (this will be refunded on departure, less any damages).
The property is professionally cleaned prior to the arrival of all new guests.
The Ongar Bell operates a strict no smoking policy within the property.
Pets are not permitted at The Ongar Bell.
A copy of the full terms and condition of hire will be provided to guests at the time of booking.
